USB Flash Drive + Digital AlbumThis one-of-a-kind art curiosity includes a glass bottle filled with a forest-scented diorama made out of actual pieces of forest and a cotton thread figure, a USB Flash Drive cork. and a hand-written/hand-drawn, hand-assembled, hand-numbered and signed miniature book with lyrics, credits and drawings. The pages of the book are hand-made from recycled cloth and flower petals, and contains a pictorial journey of rediscovery that is connected to the scene in the diorama. about
"Indweller" was recorded completely live in the studio without any overdubs or edits, apart from fade-ins and fade-outs to make room for silence between songs. Wanting to portray both the frail nature of a human as well as the underlying presence of being, it was important to capture the music as it was performed right there and then, in the moment. The work depicts, and was born out of, a self-inquiry process that led an apparent separate human being to the re-discovery of who "I" am, beyond thoughts and concepts.
In other words you could say that this work is about finding happiness. Not happiness contingent on worldly pursuits but the everlasting happiness of being your true self. In several different senses this is a spiritual successor to the Daisy Pusher releases. But where as those releases came from an individual feeling lost in the world, "Indweller" comes from someone who has found his way back home.
"I am" is my true home and my true nature. I am the beingness that knows. As human bodies we come and go like waves on an ocean, but just as the ocean is the reality out of which the wave is made, my true reality is knowing beingness or awareness. The body, mind and world all appear in this knowing beingness, and being without objective properties that beingness is infinite and eternal. As I find that reality in my own experience, not just as a theory or belief, I feel utterly content and complete. Happiness does not only come from within, it is who I am when I am free from identification with whatever appears and disappears.
Here I am peaceful, here I am happy. Here I am, the indweller.
